I'm 34 (and three quarters eek) years old. I married my wonderful husband, Ian, in 2011, 8 months to the day after we met. We are the proud 'parents' of two dogs, Merlin and Martha, and just a 'few' cats, who we have rescued along the way! All of whom will no doubt pop up in my blogs at some point....when you hear their names my geek place will be cemented!

For the last few years I have suffered from quite severe health problems. At the moment I am virtually housebound thanks to ME/CFS. If you are unfamiliar with the condition it can be simply explained, it is a cluster of symptoms, which can vary greatly, of which the medical profession is unable to determine the cause or cure. Basically, people who suffer from ME/CFS (apparently ME sounded too much like a 'real' illness so they felt the need to lessen it by calling it Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which is a hilarious understatement for most sufferers.) are lumped together and left to their own devices. Either that or told that they can 'fix' themselves with positive mental attitude and exercise. Don't I wish! My experience of the condition is that if you get ME/CFS badly then life as you know it is done. My husband is my full time carer, as I can no longer walk well enough to look after myself. I won't bore you with all my other symptoms, but suffice to say it isn't fun. Luckily I have a loving, kind husband who takes care of me, but it is not a situation I would wish on anybody! I have also suffered from severe depression and anxiety for over 20 years. If anyone is suffering from the same, please feel free to contact me via email or any of the above social media sites. The same message goes to any ME/CFS sufferers too. Don't suffer alone, there is always a helping hand if you reach for one.

I love all things geeky....I'm a huge Whovian (although no longer a Moffat fan, and not looking forward to Capaldi as the Doctor! He has appeared twice before in the Whoniverse for goodness sakes!), Star Wars fan...when I was little, whenever we rented a video it had to be Jedi! I would refuse anything less, unless it was Animalympics! Basically, anything you consider geeky, I love!

Both Ian and I are collectors, action figures, dolls...particularly Monster High and Ever After High, better than Barbie for kids, hands down. Both give out better messages about body image, friendship, following your own path and refusing to conform to what others want of you. Ian is a photographer, and he takes some wonderful photographs of toys. I will put his contact info in the Contact tab above.

We're both addicted to YouTube, neither of us has been brave enough to start filming vlogs or tutorials yet though! We love to watch craft tutorials, as I make polymer clay jewellery and charms etc. We also love to watch Sprinkle of Glitter, Zoella, PointlessBlog, Jack HowardMarcus Butler, ThatcherJoe, MommyandGracieShow,  Shane Dawson, LisbugJoey Graceffa, Sawyer Hartman, Grace HelbigFun for Louis, Tyler Oakley, Tanya Burr and Jim Chapman. It is actually Louise, who is Sprinkle of Glitter, who has inspired me to start a blog, as I enjoy hers so much!

So, after this marathon 'About' section, I'll tell you what my blog will be about. Basically, anything and everything that takes my fancy. I'll post about my battle against ME/CFS and depression and anxiety, about geeky stuff, about our struggle to have kids, about our furbabies, about my crafty endeavours and about my favourite books, films, tv, music, gigs and beauty stuff.

Hope you'll enjoy! If not, there are millions of blogs out there that you will enjoy, so good luck on your search!
